Planning the 3rd DTIC Trekking
Dear trekkers,
Summer is coming. And before we get too lazy to get outside with those
sunny days, we are planning to do our last walk before holidays, the
upcoming July 7th!
And we are thinking on a nice route around
the town of l'Esquirol, for a total amount of 10km with very few height,
and for an approximate time of 4 hours. The path goes and comes back
from a place known as "el salt de la barra de ferro", where a
significant stream of pure water falls all year long (though this might
not be the most appropriate time of the year to see it at its very
best). There are some surprises along the way that we might discover
also, like a small lake or some rocks that we will have to climb. But
don't be afraid, it's so easy to do and there are some chains stuck on
the way to help you. Let us insist that this is NOT A DIFFICULT route
but everybody must be aware of this tricky part.
Here you can find some pictures of the trek: http://culturasenderista.wordpress.com/tag/salt-de-la-barra-de-ferro/
And here are the technical details and map: http://es.wikiloc.com/wikiloc/view.do?id=2406311
As usual, sun protection, hidration, nice boots and food for a lunch
during the trek are highly recommended. The starting point is 1h 30'
away from Barcelona and getting there is only possible by car, so we
could meet at Tanger building at 9:30h with all the available cars and
drivers.
Let's wait for the confirmation of everybody for organizing the trip :)
Looking forward to see you there!
